UPSC (Union public Service Commission) Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2026 will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission on 12th April, 2026 for admission to the under mentioned courses.

1. Indian Military Academy, Dehradun – [including 13 vacancies reserved for NCC `C’ Certificate (Army Wing) holders] -100 Vacancies
2. Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala – [including 06 vacancies for NCC ‘C’ Certificate (Naval Wing) holders and 01 for Hydro] – 26 Vacancies
3. Air Force Academy, Hyderabad – [including 03 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate (Air Wing) holders through NCC Special Entry] – 32 Vacancies
4. Officers’ Training Academy(MEN), Chennai (Madras) – 275 vacancies

Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality: Indian
2. For Indian Military Academy –
   • Educational Qualification : Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
   • Age Limit : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 2003 and not later than 1st January, 2008 only are eligible.
3. Indian Naval Academy –
   • Educational Qualification :
   • Age Limit : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 2003 and not later than 1st January, 2008 only are eligible.
4. For Air Force Academy –
   • Educational Qualification :
   • Age Limit : 20 to 24 years as on 1st January, 2027 i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January 2003 and not later than 1st January 2007.
5. For Officers’ Training Academy –
   • Educational Qualification :Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
   • Age Limit : (SSC Course for men) Unmarried male candidate born not earlier than 2nd January 2002 and not later than 1st January 2008 only are eligible.
6. For Officers’ Training Academy –
   • Educational Qualification :Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
   • Age Limit : (SSC Women Non-Technical Course) Unmarried women, issue-less widows who have not remarried and issue-less divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been born not earlier than 2nd January 2002 and not later than 1st January 2008.

Application Fee : 1. Female/SC/ST – Nil 2. All Others – Rs 200/- (Non-refundable).
