Engagement of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) through Advertisement No 17-21/2023-GDS dated 27.01.2023 in India Post , Department of Posts , Ministry of Communications , Government of India.
Online applications are invited from the eligible applicants for engagement as Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) (Branch Postmaster(BPM)/Assistant Branch Postmaster(ABPM)/Dak Sevak) in India Post. Applications are to be submitted online at www.indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.

Emoluments :
Emoluments in the form of Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA) plus Dearness Allowance thereon are paid to the GDS. The applicable TRCA to different categories are as under: –
Branch Postmaster (BPM) : Rs.12,000/- – 29,380/-
Assistant Branch Postmaster : Rs.10,000/- -24,470/-
Dak Sevak : Rs.10,000/- -24,470/-
Eligibility Criteria :
Age Limit ( For All Posts) : 18 years to 40 years
Educational Qualification : (a) Secondary School Examination pass certificate of 10th standard having passed in Mathematics and English (having been studied as compulsory or elective subjects) conducted by any recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India/State Governments/ Union Territories in India shall be a mandatory educational qualification for all approved categories of GDS.
(b) The applicant should have studied the local language at least up to Secondary standard [as compulsory or elective subjects.
(c) Knowledge of computer
(d) Knowledge of cycling
(e) Adequate means of livelihood
How to Apply for Gramin Dak Sevak / Branch Postmaster / Assistant Branch Postmaster :
Application can be submitted online only at www.indiapostgdsonline.in by paying a fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees one hundred only) is to be paid by the applicants for all posts notified in choice of Division.
However, payment of fee is exempted for all female applicants, SC/ST applicants, PwD applicants and Transwomen applicants. Applications received from any other mode shall not be entertained.
